Experimental studies with real participants using the latest technologies are essential for evaluating the research in our lab.

Currently, the following user studies are open for participation:

Rhythm Sorter

VR User Study Related to Time Perception
The VR/AR Lab is recruiting participants for a Virtual Reality (VR) experiment. No prior VR experience is required. Your main task will be to sort different virtual objects according to shape. The experiment comprises multiple sorting sessions in which environmental elements keep changing. During the experiment, we will only collect anonymized data ranging from demographic data, such as age or gender, to physiological data, such as heart rate or gaze direction. Since the task involves wearing a head-mounted display (HMD) and precise physical motion, we are recruiting healthy adults with no motor handicap.

The experiment will take place in the VR/AR Lab at the Maison du Nombre (MNO) on the Belval campus of the University of Luxembourg. Participation will require about an hour, comprising the experiment itself, as well as the setup and pre-experiment forms. If you wish to participate, please contact us via e-mail; we will get back to you to schedule a time slot for your participation, accommodating your availability.

Immersion Levels

XR User Study on the Effect of Technological Immersion
The VR/AR Lab is recruiting participants for an experiment in Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) related to immersion. No prior VR or AR experience is required. Your main task will be to play a strategic game using different VR/AR devices, and from time to time answer a few questions related to your experience. During the experiment, we will only collect anonymized demographic data, such as age or gender, and recorded actions. Since the task involves wearing a head-mounted display (HMD) and physical motion, we are recruiting healthy adults with no motor handicap.

The experiment will take place in the VR/AR Lab at the Maison du Nombre (MNO) on the Belval campus of the University of Luxembourg. Participation will require about 45 minutes, comprising the experiment itself, as well as the setup and pre- and post-experiment forms. If you wish to participate, please contact us via e-mail; we will get back to you to schedule a time slot for your participation, accommodating your availability.
